"A Time to Align with God's Heart Over Our Nation"

Kathi Pelton July 10, 2020 - Written during the Co-Vid Crisis. This article seems to align perfectly with what God has given us here at Align with God Ministries, to focus on alignment with Him, unity with one another and come under His banner of love. For this reason I include it here.

When I was a child, every Saturday my siblings and I were required to thoroughly clean our rooms. One time, I remember not wanting to clean so I took all the clothes that had been scattered through my room and threw them on my closet floor and closed the doors. Then I took the papers, books and homework and shoved them in my desk drawers in a haphazard way. Finally, I took everything else and just pushed it under my bed to hide it from sight.

After vacuuming and dusting I called my mom to let her know that I was done. She walked in (probably realizing that it was too soon for me to have properly cleaned) and when she saw a "seemingly" immaculate room, she became suspicious and opened my closet door. Of course, my hidden mess poured out upon her feet, and what didn't fall was quickly tossed out by her. Then she headed to my bed, lifted the bedspread to look under it, and the true hidden mess and deception was revealed. Everything was thrown out into the middle of my room and now it all looked worse than before I had begun.

I thought of this memory as I've observed the state of our nation.

A Mess Revealed

Less than six months ago everything looked clean, in order and right, but suddenly something came and opened our closet doors and pulled out all that was hidden from sight; suddenly we have a bigger mess than before.

But, just like when I was a child and hid my mess—nothing was actually cleaned at all. The mess in our nation was merely hidden from sight. Most didn't want to deal with it or see it exposed because we don't like "mess." We had learned to live contently without uncovering the mess or exposing all that was hidden.

When my mess was exposed (as a child) I was forced to truly clean it up; to bring order and alignment to every area. But first, everything had to be pulled out from the hidden places and exposed. I believe, that is where we are as a nation. (Photo via Piqsels)

So, God first began with His Bride. From March through May God opened the door of our hearts and exposed the clutter and mess that was keeping us from making room for Him. Many of us in the Body of Christ took these months to get our hearts clean and make room for Him. Remember, God always looks for a remnant to work through. Also, there had been a time of exposure within the Church because God always cleans His house first.

God's Clean-Up Crew

Once He had cleaned, prepared and aligned His remnant's hearts it was time to pull out everything under the bedrock of our nation. Yes, it's a mess and it's all been pulled out and thrown into the light for all to see.Although it may not feel like "our mess," we need to know that it is the mess we knew existed and yet did not want to look at or even know what to do about. Now it is laid out for all to see and it is the Church that will be given authority and wisdom regarding what to do to bring it back into divine order.

We can't just push it back under the bed or hide it behind closed doors because it's already been exposed. We must begin the step-by-step process of cleaning it up. We need the help of our Father because it's, quite honestly, too big of a job for us! But...He is happy to give wisdom and hold the plumb line that will reveal alignment. We must ask for wisdom and be willing to steward the clean-up process.

We may wish that we could just go back to the way it was before 2020, but to have 20/20 vision and to make decrees that establish righteousness, we first needed to know what was hidden from sight. It can be better than it was before! If we will go before the mercy seat and then follow His lead, then we won't merely have the appearance of being clean but purity can be established—even in the hidden places.

It Starts with Alignment

Exposure is good when it is exposing that which is unclean. We must all begin the work, but first we must align with God's heart and His steps to lay down personal agendas, and pick up heavenly blueprints that draw us into the oneness that Jesus prayed for in John 17:21-23:

"I pray that they will all be one, just as You and I are one—as You are in Me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in us so that the world will believe You sent Me. I have given them the glory You gave Me, so they may be one as We are one. I am in them and You are in Me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that You sent Me and that You love them as much as You love Me." (Photo via Piqsels)

We may have to lay down names, titles, brands and differences to come into the oneness that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit share and see it come upon the Church. I am praying for His plumbline to come and for His Bride to yield to the true alignment of Heaven. Let us lay everything at the feet of the One who is worthy, and release the perfume of oneness over His feet so that it fills the atmosphere with "Christ in us."

God is aligning hearts, He is aligning His remnant Church, and He is aligning together those who will be entrusted to carry out His purposes in humble surrender, as well as confident authority in His leadership. We serve a humble King who is searching for those who will lead and serve as He does.

Now is the time to pray for a holy alignment to continue that will usher us into the oneness that causes "the world to know." May all that has been exposed now be made clean by our God and His faithful remnant. We don't have time to get overwhelmed by the mess before our eyes because we must remember, it was there all along, just hidden from plain view. We just have to allow the cleaning to begin.

Perfect love is ultimately the alignment that is needed. Many years ago, the late Bob Jones was asked a question when He was taken to Heaven: "Did you learn to love?" Let us ask for reformed lives that align with His love. Will we learn to love? It is easy to love that which is lovely, but now we have the opportunity to love that which is unlovely.

Announcement of Hope

Kathi Pelton, Inscribe Ministries

“It’s going to be better than you think!”
I don’t know what you’ve been waiting for but your Father surely does. Although your mind and the enemy of your soul may shout doubt and defeat, the Lord has good news for you.

Romans 5:5 says,
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Hope was not poured into our hearts in order to bring us to places of disappointment but to reveal the love of God that never disappoints.I find that more often than not right before the breakthrough there is the most warfare against our hope and the truth about the love of God in our life.
When the battle rages and you feel like letting go of hope then it is time to let the voice of truth come forth.

Let both praises and declarations of who He is ring forth with clarity and boldness until your soul comes back into alignment with what your spirit already knows.

John 16:13 says,
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

The Spirit comes and guides us into all truth and that truth gives us hope; a hope that does not disappoint. We are children of God and our Father loves us with a love that exceeds every expectation.

He is Holding You

By Kathi Pelton

I woke up this morning with deep compassion in my heart for those who are hurting. It is a compassion stronger than my human emotions or ability to muster up; it is the Father’s compassion for His children who are hurting.

Many of you reading this have fought so hard to stay in faith and bravely clung to your determination to believe in God’s promises despite adversity. You have wondered why others are experiencing breakthrough and you are not. You feel very alone in this battle.

But I hear the Spirit saying that you are not alone! The Father’s arms are open and He desires for you to surrender all of your pain, disappointment and fear to His powerful embrace. He will hold you and His perfect love will heal your pain, renew your hope and calm your fears.

This is a real invitation, not just a nice picture. Get somewhere that you can be still and receive the invitation for Him to hold you.

I also felt that as you allow yourself to be held and comforted that He would take the battle out of your hands. The battle that you are facing belongs to Him. It is too big for you and as you turn your focus on being loved by Him and trusting Him, it will take away the swirl of warfare that has exhausted you.

I will welcome you and be a Father to you and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:18.

He has offered an open invitation into rest and comfort. God’s arms are spread wide to receive you and to relieve you of the burden of the battle. Faith and hope are found in rest and peace.

Even now His arms are wrapping around you; breathe deeply the fragrance of His love.
